About Me: Julia Soeder - Writer, Strategist and Aspiring Copywriter

There is nothing I love more than a story. Whether I’m crafting member-spotlight stories for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, writing award-winning features for The Loyola Phoenix, or interviewing trailblazers for Cleveland Magazine, I bring a curiosity, clarity, and distinct voice to every project I touch.

As a Presidential Scholar and Dean’s List student at Loyola University Chicago, I have learned how to combine creativity and strategy to drive engagement and deliver compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. A senior majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing, I am passionate about the intersection of media, communication, and brand storytelling.

My experiences span from editorial writing and fact-checking to content creation and campaign development. At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I pioneered the “Member Spotlight” series, leading to increased member engagement through storytelling and exclusive content for the website and newsletters. During my internship at Cleveland Magazine, I honed my skills in pitching, interviewing, and social media content, leading to a freelance position after my internship.

During my senior year, I will be completing two internships. First, I’m a Public Relations Assistant at Heron Agency, where I assist in developing and executing PR campaigns to promote brand awareness through social media and communication initiatives. Second, I’m the McMullen Arts Leadership Annual Giving Intern for the Art Institute of Chicago, working on acquisition campaigns and Luminary Events for the museum.

Outside of work, I’m a member of Loyola’s Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honors Society, where I am able to learn from both experts in the field and my peers.

I’m excited to continue growing as a storyteller who connects people through meaningful, creative communication. Let’s collaborate and bring your story to life!
